Renaissance overload in Firenze

Today was a busy day of sightseeing in Florence. We started out early at the Galleria Degli Uffizi which is pretty amazing. Then after lunch we visited Galleria dell' Academia where Michelangelo's DAVID is now located and it is truly an amazing sight that no words or photos can do it justice. We then walked to the Pizzale Michelangelo and took in the view of florence and then we finished the day having another amazing dinner at a Ristorante near our hotel.

Oh Greg I am really green with envy. I just love Florence (Firenze). Can not wait for you to see Sienna.

Are you heading to Rome next?

Glad to weather is holding up so you can take these amazing photos.

You did not say how your first true Italian pizza was.

    Safe journeys :-)

    1. Hi Rita, yes I have fallen in love with Italy, it is truly amazing and more so than I could ever have imagined. We are off to Chianti region, Sienna and Pisa today and are really looking forward to seeing the Tuscany area. We are off to Rome on Saturday. Italian pizza is different to how we do it at home, it was nice but miss our pizza place :-)

      See you soon.
      Greg
