Lyon (day 15)

We made the most of our single day in Lyon. We were up early and off the Les Halles de Lyon - Markets and OMG it was amazing, the aromas, the choices. First we had some coffee and a croissant for breakfast and then we wandered around buying macarons, cheese, bread, foie gras etc. so we could have a picnic later on for lunch. We stopped by a comptoir to taste some Spanish ham that had just been cut off the bone which had been cured in a certain way and wow it was amazing so we had a plate and washed it down with a glass of red wine... As you do!

Then we took the Metro to the old part of Lyon. 

Then we stopped for our picnic lunch in the gardens
