SYD-DXB-FCO Sydney to Rome in 23 hours

Well the day finally arrived for our next big adventure to Europe. It has only been in the planning for a year and we have been so looking forward to returning again and seeing some new parts of Europe that we didn't get to on our previous trip. 

We also get to fly with different airlines this trip and the first time in a long time that we haven't flown with Qantas. We flew Emirates Sydney to Dubai and then onto Rome with a very short 90 minutes in Dubai as we changed planes. We flew on the amazing A380-800 all the way which was comfortable and spacious. From take off to arrival at our Rome hotel it has been 23 hours. 

Now to settle in for our first night in Rome after a very long day and we have an early start as we are off to visit the Borghese Gallery at 09:00 what where we thinking?
