We arrived late into Miami and then had a two hour wait to receive our bags from the flight. When they eventually arrived it was Thursday morning. The last thing we needed after travelling for 38h 35m SYD-HKG-LAX-DFW-DFW. Whilst waiting I phoned our hotel and told them we were on our way only to be advised that we could only stay for 2 nights as we had to be at by 11am on Friday as Miami Beach was being evacuated and we weren't allowed to stay at the hotel.
We collected our bags took an UBER to the hotel, checked in and then crashed.
The next day (Thursday) we decided to not leave anything to chance to so we booked a hotel in Orlando, booked a rental car and then checked out of our gorgeous hotel and made our way to Orlando. It took us 9 hours to reach our hotel and we checked in at 21:30 and headed out for dinner as we had only managed to stop for some brunch earlier in the day.
